In a concerted effort to address Thailand's scarcity of skilled professionals in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields, ManpowerGroup Thailand's Eastern Seaboard branch joined forces with the Keenan Foundation Asia for an impactful 2-day training program. Held on June 29–30, 2024, this initiative was geared towards empowering women through education and skill enhancement in traditionally male-dominated careers.
Despite Thailand's ambitious Thailand 4.0 policy aimed at boosting industrial growth, gender disparities persist in STEM-related professions. Recognizing the pivotal role of women in driving industrial progress, the "Women in STEM" project focused on equipping female students with the technical expertise and professional acumen necessary to excel in these fields.
The training program was meticulously crafted to prepare participants for future internships and careers, offering comprehensive support to navigate the complex landscape of STEM industries. Highlights included specialized workshops on resume writing tailored for STEM careers, providing valuable insights into effective job-seeking strategies and addressing prevalent gender biases.
Through collaborative efforts, ManpowerGroup Thailand not only facilitated practical skill development but also nurtured a supportive environment where participants could openly discuss and overcome challenges specific to women in STEM. By bridging this gender gap, the initiative aims to significantly contribute to Thailand's economic growth and industrial development.
As a leading workforce solutions provider committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity, ManpowerGroup Thailand remains dedicated to empowering women and enriching the nation's labor market. Through ongoing collaboration and innovative programs, we strive to create opportunities that enable every individual to realize their full potential in the dynamic realm of STEM.
The "Women in STEM" project, generously supported by JP Morgan, has played a pivotal role in launching a series of empowering activities aimed at women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Notably, ManpowerGroup Thailand's contribution to the impactful "Are you O.K. Session 2" stands out prominently.
This session provided hands-on activities, role-plays, and simulated job interviews with practical feedback, crucial in equipping women with the skills and confidence to thrive in STEM careers. These efforts are pivotal in breaking down barriers and paving the way for future generations of women to excel in STEM fields.
Through collaborative efforts and unwavering commitment, ManpowerGroup Thailand, alongside partners like JP Morgan and Kenan Foundation Asia, not only promotes gender diversity but also fosters innovation and excellence in critical sectors. Together, these initiatives forge a more inclusive and promising future where individuals, regardless of gender, have equal opportunities to contribute to and benefit from advancements in STEM disciplines.
