Position: Associate QS Manager (Civil)

Duties:

  • Prepare, analyze, and forecast construction costs for projects, including determining required resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) and managing overall costs.
  • Plan all construction activities and timelines, ensuring the project aligns with the approved plans.
  • Develop and manage tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other relevant documentation.
  • Review shop drawings and specifications during both the project development and construction phases.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to architecture, interior design, local laws, and regulations (including those in Thailand).
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to ensure that designs meet quality, functionality, and regulatory standards, as well as the developer's requirements.
  • Contribute to design development by offering insights on creativity and functionality.
  • Manage risk, value engineering, and cost control throughout the construction phase.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and procedures during construction.
  • Assess completed work, review bills, and oversee payment arrangements.
  • Act as the project coordinator between company, the client, and external consultants.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure efficient use of resources, aiming to complete the project on time and within the planned budget.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in real estate, architecture, construction, and/or project management.
  • Experience managing commercial projects such as office buildings, apartments, retail spaces, etc.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and research abilities.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the capability to effectively manage others' time.
  • Familiarity with design standards, regulations, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong inclination to investigate and gather more information.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and maintain high productivity.
