Position: CAMO Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage a maintenance program for the aircraft, ensuring its approval by the CAAT, along with any amendments.
  2. Oversee the performance of aircraft maintenance, ensuring compliance with the approved program and TCAR AIR Part-M Subpart H, and ensure maintenance checks are completed within the guidelines of the AMP.
  3. Ensure that any defects discovered during scheduled maintenance or reported by the crew are rectified by an authorized maintenance organization.
  4. Coordinate the transfer of the aircraft to a certified Part-145 or Part-CAO facility whenever necessary.
  5. Ensure the aircraft remains in airworthy condition, with all operational and emergency equipment correctly installed and functioning, or clearly marked as unserviceable.
  6. Ensure that the aircraft's certificate of airworthiness remains valid at all times.
  7. Ensure that any defects or damage affecting safe operation are rectified according to the prescribed procedures in M.A. 403 and/or M.A. 401, taking into account the approved MEL and CDL for the aircraft type.
  8. Assess the effectiveness of the maintenance program in relation to spares, recurring defects, malfunctions, and damage, and make necessary amendments to the program.
  9. Regularly review and update the maintenance program to ensure the AMP is current and accurate.
  10. Ensure that modifications and repairs are carried out in compliance with M.A. 304.
  11. Ensure all relevant airworthiness directives, operational directives with continuing airworthiness impact, and requirements set by the CAAT are fulfilled.
  12. Ensure the aircraft's mass and balance statement reflects its current status.
  13. Perform pre-flight inspections to confirm the aircraft is fit for flight, and conduct maintenance check flights as required.
  14. Establish and document technical system procedures within the organization to maintain high standards of airworthiness, workmanship, and regulatory compliance in line with TCAR-AIR Part-M, Part CAO, and Part CAMO.
  15. Ensure that contracts comply with the Appendix of TCAR AIR Part-M (M.A. 201).
  16. Oversee the daily operations of the CAMO department.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of formal aeronautical education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Part-CAMO role or a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, or a degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with CAR M regulations.
  • Completed training in Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, and EWIS.
  • Training in AMP/MEL/CAME, CAMP/CMP.
  • Completion of an Aircraft Familiarization course for at least one aircraft type operated by company.
