Chief Operating Officer
Location: Bangkok
Job Summary:
The COO will be responsible for developing the business and growing the organization to fulfill our client's vision. This entails both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, including leading, managing, and holding the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments. The individual must be able to interact with top management, executives, and staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
Job Description:

  • Ensure operational excellence to achieve business targets for existing businesses, including all Live Entertainment Business & Productions, Merchandise, and other newly developed businesses.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization. Formulate ideas and translate them into strategic initiative plans for new growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with the CEO, maintaining a high level of mutual respect, to strive for success and achieve the strategic goals of our client.
  • Cultivate clarity, trust, integrity, alignment, collaboration, and accountability within and outside the organization (clients, partners, outsources, cross-business under company group, etc.).
  • Design and implement scalable solutions (systems, processes, and people) needed to support current operations, negotiate better terms, expected growth, and minimize growing pains.
  • Ensure everyone is truly following and adhering to the company's core values, organizational culture, and operating system with consistency, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Provide departments with the support and resources needed to accomplish their best work, including advocating on their behalf and clearing bottlenecks as needed. Adjust and adapt team operations as appropriate.
  • Seamlessly coordinate and persuade departmental leads and Expat Partners in identifying business development opportunities and addressing market challenges while effectively resolving any issues or obstacles.
  • Develop strategic portfolio initiatives and effective business plans aligned with organizational objectives to generate more revenue, increase brand loyalty, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the CEO, Finance Analyst, and the Board Committee to prepare a comprehensive annual budget and longer-term financial plans for Board review and approval.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with an MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience combined with an executive-level background, including at least 10 years of supervisory experience (background in Entertainment, Content-related business, and Media Agencies is preferable)
  • Good at new business strategy, business acumen, business development, and marketing.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Outstanding strategic thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people.
  • Fluent in Thai and English.
  • Ability to frequently travel abroad and flexibility to work over weekends (*some events).
