Custom Clearance Manager (Chinese Speaker)

Job Title: Customs Clearance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Manager to oversee our import and export operations, ensuring compliance with customs policies and regulations. This role will be based in Thailand but will report directly to our head office in China. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing customs clearance processes, ensuring smooth operations, and liaising with key stakeholders across various countries.

• Handle all customs clearance documentation and procedures for both import and export.
• Oversee and manage the clearance of raw materials imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, and the export of finished products to these regions.
• Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, policies, and BOI (Board of Investment) requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external authorities to ensure the timely processing of shipments.
• Stay updated on customs policies, regulatory changes, and ensure the company is compliant with all legal requirements.
• Prepare reports for the China headquarters, summarizing the performance of customs clearance operations and identifying any areas for improvement.
• Resolve any issues or delays in the customs process and provide solutions to mitigate future occurrences.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in customs clearance operations, specifically in import and export.
• Strong understanding of customs policies and regulations as well as BOI requirements for import/export operations.
• Proficiency in Chinese & Thai language.
• Excellent knowledge of Thailand's customs laws, procedures, and BOI regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing customs documentation and liaising with customs officials and external partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve challenges in the customs clearance process.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
