Engineering Manager (Pre-opening) - Hospitality

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and ensure compliance of MEP, air conditioning, sanitary, and environmental systems.
  • Oversee the Automatic Parking System and ensure its proper functionality.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the Engineering team, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication during the pre-opening phase.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs for all engineering systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of engineering facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage budgetary requirements for engineering projects and maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to oversee project timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to engineering processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Lead pre-opening engineering activities, including system testing, commissioning, and final inspections to ensure readiness for launch.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineering certification (e.g., PE or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in hotel or residential engineering management is a plus.
  • Pre-opening experience in hospitality projects, demonstrating the ability to manage timelines and coordinate multiple engineering tasks effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management software and engineering design tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the pre-opening phase.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management is a plus.
