Head of Engineering Department Manager

The Head of Engineering Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the engineering team, coordinating and working with R&D and project management team. They are typically tasked with managing the development of products, setting technical direction, ensuring the engineering team meets performance goals, and aligning with broader organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams to ensure they meet technical and business goals.
• Technical Strategy: Work closely with senior leadership to define and implement the company's technical vision and roadmap.
• Project Management: Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, design, and other departments to ensure engineering is aligned with organizational goals.
• Recruitment and Talent Development: Attract and retain top talent, manage hiring processes, and foster career development for engineering team members.
• Process Improvement: Advocate for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage the engineering budget and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to achieve team goals.
• Performance Management: Set performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and provide feedback to ensure continuous team growth and success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering / Production or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Engineering and project management with Automotive manufacturer.
• Good communicate in English both written and spoken.
• Certified Lean Master and/or Six Sigma Black Belt would be advantage.
