Ideally the candidate should be:

Organised - collating various documentation required for shipping.
Multitasking - processing a number of orders at various statuses.
Systematic/Methodical in following process from start to finish.
Time management/Prioritisation - some tasks require quick turnaround or can result in bottlenecks & added costs.
Attention to Detail - correct data entry, checking of documentation etc.
Communication - customers, carriers.
Resourceful/Problem Solving - ability to identify alternate solutions, shipping lines/agents/brokers suppliers etc

QUALIFICATIONS / ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Bachelor's degree in logistics, Business Administration or related.
Experience in logistics and transportation knowledge 6-8 years of related progressive experience.
Must possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, analytical ability and demonstrable management experience to provide effective change management leadership and lead strategic and supply chain initiatives with clients.
Should have a proven background in transportation service provider appointments, tender processes, contract negotiation and extensive knowledge on transportation management systems
Good command of both written and spoken English.
