Job Summary:
The Legal Manager will oversee all legal matters pertaining to the company's operations in Thailand. This role involves providing strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance with local regulations, reviewing and drafting contracts, and mitigating legal risks. The Legal Manager will work closely with various departments to support business objectives while safeguarding the company's legal interests.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Advisory and Compliance:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice to senior management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Ensure the company's operations and practices comply with Thai laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that could impact the company and advise on necessary actions.

    2. Contract Management:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company's interests are protected.

    3. Risk Management:
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Handle disputes and litigation matters, working with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal risks.

    4. Corporate Governance:
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and best practices.
  • Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and copyrights.
  • Oversee company secretarial duties, including board meetings, minutes, and corporate filings.

    5. Training and Development:
  • Provide training to staff on legal issues, company policies, and compliance matters.
  • Foster a culture of legal awareness and compliance within the organization.

    6. External Relations:
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in law (LL. B) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai commercial, corporate, and labor laws.
  • Experience in the media or advertising industry is an advantage.
  • Working experience in a multinational company with Chinese background is preferred.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in both Thai and English languages; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
