Job Description:
- Develop and maintain processes for PCBAs, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Coordinate with NPI teams for new product releases, estimate costs, and recommend tooling.
- Maintain work instructions and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.
- Select and order equipment, oversee installation and upgrades, and ensure proper maintenance.
- Address equipment performance and reliability, enhancing uptime and resolving issues.
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing, recommending process improvements.
- Conduct statistical analysis (DOE, SPC) to improve yields and product quality.
- Investigate complex process issues, driving corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers and CM to reduce cycle times and costs.
- Lead support for process issues during pilot and prototype builds.
- Monitor new product development, ensuring effective methods and work instructions.
- Train CM technicians on troubleshooting techniques.
- Troubleshoot production issues at PCBA or instrument-level test.
- Monitor CM performance, including capacity planning and equipment maintenance.
- Support engineering change implementations and perform production validation.
Qualification Requirements:
- Education: BS/MS degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 8+ years in a technology-driven industry, specifically optical and electromechanical products (e.g., motor-driven assemblies, lenses, cameras, lasers, optical fiber).
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and 3rd party CM partners.
- Proven experience in debugging and supporting optical and electromechanical products.
- Deep understanding of optical principles.
- Knowledge of optical test equipment (e.g., optical power source, optical power meter, variable optical attenuator).
- Experience handling lasers, optical fibers (splicing, routing, cleaning, connectors, switching).
- Expertise in alignment processes for lenses, fibers, mechanicals, and epoxy setting.
- Contract manufacturing support experience at both box build and surface mount levels.
- Language: Proficiency in Thai and English.
- Additional: Ability to work with global organizations and remote teams.
