Job Description
- Provide on-site assistance to the Contract Manufacturer (CM) and serve as the point of contact with remote teams at New Product Introduction (NPI) locations.
- Deliver specialized knowledge in product operations and resolve issues escalated by the CM.
- Ensure consistent achievement of product yield goals in line with specified benchmarks.
- Drive process changes by coordinating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturer Change Orders (MCOs), and deviations with Product Engineers at NPI facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve production challenges, supporting CM technicians in analyzing failures that impact cycle times and yield rates.
- Collaborate with the NPI team in launching new products, including prototype and pilot production runs.
- Conduct training for the CM team on new product assembly procedures and guarantee comprehensive documentation of work instructions.
- Analyze and improve current manufacturing processes, working closely with internal teams and external third-party partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Over 7 years of experience in technology-driven industries, with a focus on digital, analog, and electromechanical systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams as well as third-party Contract Manufacturers (CM).
- Extensive experience in debugging and supporting digital, analog, and electromechanical systems.
- Proficient in using testing tools like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters for debugging.
- In-depth knowledge of PCBA assembly processes through to final box build.
- Strong background in supporting contract manufacturing at both surface mount and box build levels.
