Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and contract manufacturers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with CMs to ensure alignment on production schedules, quality expectations, and cost efficiency.
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) and mass production transitions at contract manufacturers.
- Oversee end-to-end program execution, ensuring production goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Work with supply chain teams to manage material planning, procurement, and inventory levels.
- Ensure contract manufacturers have the necessary resources and materials for production continuity.
- Collaborate with quality teams to ensure CMs meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, FDA).
- Monitor and drive continuous improvement in product quality, process control, and defect reduction.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery reliability.
- Monitor and analyze CM performance metrics (yield rates, lead times, defect rates) to implement process improvements.
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing.
- Align production plans with sales and operations planning (S&OP) to meet customer demand.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and manufacturing process, implementing mitigation plans.
- Troubleshoot production and supply chain issues to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in program management, contract manufacturing, or supply chain within electronics, medical devices, automotive, or industrial manufacturing industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, NPI, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Other Requirements: Ability to travel to contract manufacturing sites as needed.
