Quality Engineer (Painting In process)

Job Description:
- The painting Quality Engineer has the key role of coordinating Quality and Production team in ensuring the quality performance and the respect of the quality standards in the painting department, driving improvement actions and projects.
- Responsible for the whole process quality of the painting department, including but not limited to the abnormality handling, the analysis of the quality issues or production defects, the investigation of such defects root causes and the definition of corrective/preventive actions to avoid them, customer feedback and complaint management, follow up and solve the problems as cross-functional team leader;
- Coordinate for the painting department Quality team defining the team daily work arrangement and long term performance improvement plan and team development;
- Responsible for the daily process audit and corrective actions for the audit findings;
- Work closely with production team to achieve and improve the quality KPIs;
- Work with SQM or other quality team on the incoming material quality for painting process;
- Implement projects for the reduction and the continuous improvement of the defect rate, the material extra consumption and the overall operating costs;
- Provide analysis and reporting on the Quality KPIs and performance for painting process to the local and corporate team;
- Definition of Quality SOP and Working Instructions;
- Responsible for the painting process quality documentation and relevant training;
- Make sure that Safety and 5S principles are followed in the quality team working area.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in painting process quality control or similar industries;
- College degree or above, preferably with Major in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
- Good English written and spoken communication;
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software package (Excel and data analysis);
- Logical Thinking and Problem Solving Attitude, Target Oriented Mindset and Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment;
- Strong coordination, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Solid mechanical background, with process quality control experiences in injection or metal production industry;
- Familiar with common quality tools, six sigma knowledge or project management experience preferred;
- SAP system knowledge is a plus.
