Sales Manager - Cosmetic Ingredients (Chinese Company)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for cosmetic ingredient products within the assigned region, focusing on growing market share and achieving sales targets.
- Identify and target key accounts in the cosmetic, skincare, and personal care industry to promote and sell cosmetic ingredients.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, including manufacturers, formulators, and distributors.
- Provide expert knowledge on cosmetic ingredient products, including formulations, regulatory compliance, and trends, to customers and potential clients.
- Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting, presentations, and negotiations to closing deals and after-sales service.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, R&D, and logistics, to ensure smooth product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and applications of products.
- Maintain a comprehensive sales pipeline, track progress against targets, and provide regular sales reports to senior management.
- Organize and participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to increase brand visibility and generate sales opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the product development team regarding customer demands, market trends, and product enhancements.
- Lead and mentor junior sales team members, ensuring alignment with company objectives and sales goals.
- Oversee contract negotiation, pricing, and payment terms to ensure profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Develop and manage annual sales forecasts and budgets in line with business targets and objectives.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and identify areas for improvement to enhance sales effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the cosmetic or personal care ingredient industry, preferably with exposure to Chinese markets.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, and industry regulations.
- Experience in B2B sales, managing distributor networks, and working with global clients.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) is required; English proficiency is also preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
