Senior Director, Operation Engineering and Security
Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Operation Engineering and Security is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering and security functions in a large-scale retail environment. This role ensures the efficient operation of facilities, the safety and security of people and assets, and the strategic alignment of engineering and security initiatives to meet the company's business objectives. The Senior Director leads a large team of over 500 individuals, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and innovation in line with the company's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead and oversee the Engineering and Security functions for all retail locations, ensuring alignment with the company's operational goals.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and security, contributing to the company's long-term growth.
- Provide strong leadership to a team of over 500 employees, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
- Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team performance and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy
Engineering Operations
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all retail facilities and infrastructure to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to implement innovative engineering solutions that reduce costs, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and capital projects related to facility upgrades, equipment purchases, and energy management programs.
- Ensure that all engineering operations meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Security Operations
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies to protect the company's assets, employees, and customers.
- Ensure the deployment of state-of-the-art security systems and protocols, including surveillance, access control, and emergency response systems.
- Manage crisis management and incident response procedures, ensuring the security team is well-prepared for potential threats and emergencies.
- Establish relationships with local law enforcement and security agencies to ensure coordinated efforts in protecting the company's assets.
Team Management and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large, diverse team of engineering and security professionals, promoting career growth and skill development.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff members remain updated on the latest technologies, security protocols, and operational practices.
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace environment that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and security policies across all operations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal changes, and new technologies to ensure the company remains a leader in operational security and engineering practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Security Management, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, engineering, or security within a retail, hospitality, or large-scale multi-site business.
- Proven experience in managing large teams (500+ employees) across multiple locations.
- Strong track record in strategic planning, budget management, and implementing large-scale operational initiatives.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and drive large teams to success.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Deep knowledge of engineering best practices and security technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal (Thai & English), with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
