Responsibilities:

  • Lead Major Sales Initiatives: Drive sales activities for key customers through direct engagement.
  • Reporting: Report directly to the Managing Director (MD) and Executive Vice President (EVP).
  • Sales Management: Oversee logistics sales and business development across air, ocean, local transportation, and warehousing sectors.
  • Customer Engagement: Deliver compelling presentations to clients in Thailand, Southeast Asia, and Australia, and conduct regular business trips for sales activities.
  • Customer Retention and Growth: Enhance customer retention, cross-sell, and upsell existing services.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and manage a high-performing business development team to achieve short-term and long-term revenue and profit targets. Conduct monthly and semi-annual performance reviews.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to position the team as a top-tier logistics company.
  • Freight Sales Leadership: Lead a team of international freight and express sales professionals. Collaborate with procurement experts to ensure performance and results.
  • Market Trends Monitoring: Monitor trends in air and ocean freight rates, working with procurement experts to secure competitive pricing and stable capacity.
  • Sales Performance: Achieve sales targets and present performance metrics in regular internal meetings (weekly, monthly, semi-annually).
  • Opportunity Management: Oversee and manage business opportunity levels for the sales team across Thailand.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy: Develop and implement regional go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with overall sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience: Over 15 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years in new business development or sales roles.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading, directing, and managing in a global forwarding company.
  • Contract and Account Management: Experience with large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts.
  • Logistics IT Systems: Familiarity with logistics IT systems (FIS/WMS/TMS).
  • Promotion Experience: Demonstrated experience in job promotions and career advancement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of logistics business operations including air, ocean, local transportation, and warehousing.
  • Network: Strong local transportation, air, and ocean industry network in Southeast Asia and Australia.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Skilled in negotiation, communication, and adapting responses to various situations.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Team Building: Strong capability in building and leading high-performing teams.
