Responsibilities:
- Support product development efforts, to influence sourcing decisions, lead make vs. buy assessment and recommendation, meet customer expectations, technical capabilities, and program objectives.
- Conduct analysis to support the development of sourcing strategies for selecting sub-categories in manufacturing/ engineering context.
- Supplier performance evaluation, development and supplier relationship management.
- Responsible for Approved Vendor List for assigned categories and custom components managing supplier selection, qualification, and contract negotiation.
- Draft and negotiate contractual agreements' terms and conditions.
- Develop assigned category roadmaps aligning program and business requirements with supplier capabilities.
- Complete other tasks assigned by superior.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration related.
- Preferring sourcing experience in MRO (maintenance repair operation) and Consumable.
- Category management experience in any of the following categories or commodities: Metals/Machining, Extrusion, Plastic Injection, Micro Components, Electronics, Consumables, Indirect Materials, etc.
- Proficient in using English as work language.
- 3+ years in strategic sourcing experience in manufacturing operations or sourcing environment.
- Experienced in developing category sourcing strategies, commodity, and technology roadmaps.
- Proficient with analytical skills (i.e., cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier risk management, etc.).
