Business Development Manager (Supply Chain)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the company's market presence in the supply chain sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics providers, and customers.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the supply chain industry.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, optimize cost structures, and improve overall performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Negotiate and close contracts with new clients and suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure business strategies remain competitive and compliant.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and business cases to support new business acquisition and partnership opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding market expansion, risk management, and new business ventures.
- Track performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate business development efforts and ensure continuous improvement.
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition or partnership opportunities to further strengthen the company's supply chain capabilities.
- Manage and nurture long-term relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Provide regular reports to management on business development activities, pipeline progress, and market trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving growth and achieving business objectives.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with market research, trend analysis, and competitor analysis within the supply chain industry.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with a strong results-driven attitude.
- Experience with digital tools, ERP systems, or supply chain software is a plus.
