Construction Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate projects from start to completion includes organizing the schedule of work, costings, and budgeting
  • Ensure the project is on schedule and budget: setting benchmarks & timeline, overseeing budget allocations, and monitoring construction progress
  • Oversee the construction site basis, including monitoring contractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control
  • Check design documents with architects, surveyors, and engineers
  • Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with consultants and their representatives to monitoring them of progress on the project, e.g. stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate with any consultants, contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and others involved in the project
  • Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project
  • Expense monthly report - compare the actual expenses to the forecasted


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction management required
  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineer, project management, or related degree
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and present key findings both verbally and in written form
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, regulatory approvals etc.
  • Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft office produce (Excel, PowerPoint, and word)
  • Excellent knowledge in design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and written)
  • Strong communication skills - for liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, professionals, and workers on site

  • Leadership skills and an ability to motivate your team to ensure a high standard of work
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills - for writing and monitoring project plans and schedules and utilizing time and resources effectively
  • Self-driven, ability to work independently and manage the productivity
  • Strong attention to detail for conducting site inspections and managing complex contracts
  • Commercial awareness - to allocate and manage your budget effectively and to understand client concerns
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
