Scope of work and Responsibilities
Data Collection: Gather data from various sources (hardcopy, databases, spreadsheets, etc.), clean and validate it to ensure accuracy, and prepare it for analysis.
- Transform the manual input via hard copy to be more automated such as google form, etc.
- Create Platform/initiative approach to collect required data from various functions such as Production, Finance, HR, Sales Team.
- Collecting data from various sources and ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Streamlining data collection methods to create automated and easy-to-use routines.
Data Cleaning and Preparation: This involves filtering the data, handling missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
- Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.
- Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors.
Data Exploration and Analysis: Analysts use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends.
- Coordinate with management to align business and informational priorities.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with the management team to determine and rank the needs of different business units.
Data Visualization and Reporting: They create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable at a glance. Data analysts prepare reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders, which can influence decision-making processes.
- Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.
- Convey insights through both reports and visual presentations.
Collaboration: They often work with other departments to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights.
- Partner with teams to understand business requirements.
- Engage with managers from various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Power BI, Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R.
- Proficiency in data analysis and exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.
- Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
- Demonstrate superior communication, interpersonal skills and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field being advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel to various operation sites as needed.
- Fluency in English: Ability to work and communicate effectively in English.
- Have experiences in developing financial reports/ Business review reports via power BI will be preferrable
