RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies and initiatives across the project.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement to maintain a healthy, safe, and accident-free working environment.
Oversee the EHS teams of the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and contractors, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Assess and mitigate EHS risks during construction and commissioning activities, taking proactive measures for risk reduction.
Liaise with local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with EHS standards and practices.
Prepare and present regular EHS performance reports, highlighting achievements and progress on improvement initiatives.
Analyze leading and lagging safety metrics, sharing insights with leadership to foster accountability and action.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field.
Over 8 years' experience in safety management for large-scale projects in the oil and gas or construction industry.
Experience in project management and plant start-up processes is advantageous.
Registered or certified EHS Officer, with additional professional EHS certifications preferred (e.g., Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, Certified Safety Health Manager, Certified Environmental Auditor) are advantageous.
Proficient in occupational safety and healths, with recognized safety qualifications (e.g., ISO 45001/14001).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
