Job Description for EHS Manager for new Plant Set up
Position: EHS Manager (Environment, Health, and Safety Manager)
Department: Quality and EHS Department
Location: Omnoi and Omyai ,Samutsakorn or 40-45 minute from Bangkok.
Reports to: Plant Director and functional report to Quality&EHS Director.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement EHS Basic system and reach to excellence level and benchmark level.
Establish and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), Plan and execute environmental and safety projects for plant operations (old plant turn around and new plant set up.
2. Monitor and Control EHS Compliance:
Conduct workplace inspections/audit to identify potential risks and create corrective action plans and follow up, Ensure employee adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards at any times.
3. Training and Awareness Programs:
Lead to set up EHS programs according to company vision and mission, conduct training sessions according to EHS basic on workplace safety, proper identify and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency response.
Promote a safety-first culture across the organization.
4. Incident and Accident Management:
Lead to Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, well-known problem solving methodology or root cause analysis methodology, recommend preventive measures and summary the report both internal and external.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies or stakeholders in case of audits or inspections.
5. Environmental Management:
Oversee waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.
Monitor energy and water usage with proper reduction programs and improvements for greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
2. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management (experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred), Proven track record in implementing ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar safety standards.
3. Skills and Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of EHS-related laws and regulations. Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation planning. Excellent communication and team management skills.
4. Certifications:
Professional Safety Officer Certificate (or equivalent in the local context).
Additional certifications such as OSHA, or ISO Lead Auditor are a plus.
5. Personal Attributes:
Leadership qualities and the ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
Attention to detail with a strong safety and environmental mindset.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Strong verbal and written skills in English and Thai, must have high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information to all stakeholder and ensure smoothly work.
