Financial Controller

Looking for a Financial Controller with experience in both finance and accounting, including expertise in P&L, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience overseeing accounting functions and possess strong knowledge in the accounting field as well.


Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial and accounting operations for the company.
• Develop and improve accounting processes within the team to enhance control and team performance.
• Manage and supervise the finance and accounting team in executing accounting functions.
• Collaborate with the GSSC-Corporate Treasury to ensure treasury operations align with the company's financial and corporate strategies.
• Supervise month-end closing activities, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately, in compliance with IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements, and aligned with financial management reports.
• Address client billing issues and manage accounts receivable aging.
• Ensure proper sourcing and justified expenses in accordance with company policies and business needs. Oversee payment transactions and ensure timely processing, while managing company expenses with a focus on cost control.
• Prepare timely monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts, annual financial reports, and budgets.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads, the CEO, and the CFO for presentation and approval by the Board of Directors.
• Review financial data to understand underlying business issues and work with operational heads to maximize performance.
• Ensure management has a clear view of the company's financial position by preparing and distributing financial reports with analysis by Business Unit.
• Prepare monthly cash flow reports and rolling cash flow forecasts for effective cash management.
• Conduct financial projections and feasibility studies for new business initiatives or expansion, including developing any required financial models or structures for new business opportunities.
• Provide full financial support for BOI-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable BOI regulations.
• Lead discussions and provide detailed support for internal and external auditors to facilitate the completion of the annual audit.
• Work closely with tax consultants to ensure the company meets all tax obligations.
• Collaborate with legal consultants on financial aspects of contractual agreements related to business operations.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required (Master's degree preferred).
• CPD License (Optional)
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, including business analysis, budget cost control, project finance controlling, or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, reading, listening).
• Strong computer skills in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
