Position Overview:
As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence. You will oversee all aspects of the dining experience, including food service, beverage offerings, staff training, and customer relations. Your leadership and attention to detail will contribute to the restaurant's continued success and the satisfaction of our discerning clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Manage day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
2. Staff Leadership and Training:
- Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and host/hostesses.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment through coaching and performance management.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
3. Customer Relations:
- Interact with guests to ensure their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and courteous manner.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
4. Menu and Beverage Management:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update menus, ensuring they align with the restaurant's concept and quality standards.
- Manage wine and beverage programs, including selection, pricing, and inventory control.
5. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and cost-control measures.
- Monitor and optimize revenue and profitability, striving for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an F&B Manager in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant, preferably with Japanese cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, food pairing, and sake/wine.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of restaurant management software is a plus.
