Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient freight management strategies to optimize shipping processes and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight service providers to negotiate rates and contracts.
- Monitor and analyze shipping performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, import/export requirements, and safety standards.
- Manage the documentation process for shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and warehousing to align logistics activities with business objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing freight-related inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits of freight expenses and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in freight management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, shipping regulations, and customs procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
