Import - Export Manager (Poultry / Animal feed)

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee import activities and customs privileges to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Determine and classify import goods under categories 1 - 3.
• Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Source and manage freight forwarders, shipping lines, and trucking services.
• Manage risk in import activities, including contract agreements and marine insurance for shipping and logistics providers.
• Control import costs and expenses to optimize the supply chain.
• Oversee imports of:
  • Machinery and agricultural equipment for feed mills, poultry/swine farms, processing plants, and laboratories (20-30 shipments per year).
  • Poultry breeding stock.
  • Animal feed raw materials (both containerized and bulk shipments of up to 60,000 tons per vessel, 30-40 shipments per year).
  • Manage formula applications and tax refunds under Section 29.

• Manage the export of fresh and processed poultry via sea, land, and air (2,000-3,000 shipments per year).
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and export documentation requirements.
• Optimize logistics and transportation to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in import-export operations, preferably in the poultry or agriculture industry.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance.
• Experience in managing bulk shipments and perishable goods.
• Ability to coordinate with government agencies and global logistics partners.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
