Merchandise Manager - Retail Business
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies aligned with business goals and customer preferences.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to forecast demand and identify opportunities.
- Plan and manage merchandise assortment to maximize sales and profitability.
- Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers for optimal pricing and delivery terms.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure efficient stock turnover and prevent overstock/stockouts.
- Implement pricing strategies and oversee promotional campaigns to drive sales.
- Track product performance and adjust reorders, markdowns, or promotions as needed.
- Lead, coach, and develop the merchandising team to meet departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations.
- Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to refine product offerings.
- Prepare and present performance analysis and key metrics to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Retail Management.
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising or buying in the retail industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis, inventory management, and forecasting.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of market trends and customer behavior in the retail space.
- Proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
