Job Overview:
Project Leader / Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of new projects. This role involves technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration with various teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. The Project Engineer will work closely with stakeholders, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
- Assist in the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and other teams to align project goals.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical input during the design phase and construction phases of the project.
- Ensure the engineering specifications and plans are followed.
- Solve technical issues as they arise during the project lifecycle.
Project Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, design documents, schedules, and progress reports.
- Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and modifications.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide updates on project progress, risks, and any adjustments needed.
- Lead project meetings and report status updates to senior management.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the project meets safety standards and quality control measures.
- Monitor the implementation of engineering solutions and ensure compliance with regulations.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that all issues are addressed in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, procurement, and construction.
- Foster a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and assist in controlling project costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Project Execution & Monitoring:
- Oversee the execution phase to ensure that it progresses according to plan.
- Track project performance and take corrective action when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Min. 3 years of experience in project management and preferably with experience in automotive industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communucation Skills (speaking and listening).
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
