The Role
We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Plant Operations Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our electrical wire manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficient and continuous production, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The position will involve supervising and coordinating between production planning, engineering, production, and logistics departments.
DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities of the Plan Operations Director covers every stage from receiving raw materials up to the distribution of finished goods. The first priority of the role will be to ensure efficient operations of the manufacturing facility to meet incoming demands through coordinating different teams in the factory and developing plans to strategically improve production capacity through optimization, maintenance, and expansion.
The strongest candidates for the role are those experienced in setting up new production plants or pipelines, and optimizing machineries and processes. We are also looking for someone who is hands-on and ready to engage with workers on the ground to motivate and develop a collaborative and excellence-oriented culture.
What you will be doing
* Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, warehousing, and safety.
* Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and minimize costs.
* Manage and develop a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
* Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards established goals.
* Perform analyses and demand forecasts to ensure consistency in fulfillment.
* Manage capital expenditure budgets for equipment, maintenance, and facility improvements.
What you need
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. An advanced degree in Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within manufacturing operations.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Experience managing budgets, forecasting production, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
* Plant or production line set-up experience is not strictly required but is a strong advantage.
