Job Description:
- Create and execute procurement strategies that align with company objectives and ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable agreements.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets, seeking cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal stock levels, reducing excess inventory while avoiding shortages.
- Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts, ensuring they meet legal, ethical, and operational standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, systems, and practices, leveraging technology and best practices to drive efficiency.
- Manage and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends to senior management.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Over 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost management and process improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are preferred.
