Production Engineer for Asia

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Engineer to join our team in Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Assembling, adjusting, and testing prototypes of complex laser systems.
• Training colleagues across various Asian locations on laser systems and acting as a "know-how carrier" for these systems.
• Creating fundamental documentation outlining manufacturing methods and routine instructions.
• Compiling components and assemblies into a parts list in close collaboration with the R&D department.
• Communicating any deviations to the relevant interfaces.
• Participating in product and process optimization to ensure manufacturability in Singapore, China, and Thailand.
• Managing tasks and sub-projects within the scope of Continuous Engineering.
• Validating technical changes to prototypes and product improvements.
• Supporting the design process to enhance manufacturability.
• Assisting in determining manufacturing costs, timelines, resources, and process requirements.
• Coordinating with teams in Singapore, China, and Thailand and serving as the primary contact for production deviations.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Physics, Laser Technology, Physical Engineering, or a related field from a university or university of applied sciences.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken German and English, along with project management expertise.
• Knowledge in optical, mechanical, and electronic measurement technology, as well as optics/laser technology and mechanics.
• Excellent communication skills, a quality-conscious work style, and a strong customer orientation.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Preference for candidates with technical skills and experience in laser technology who have studied or spent a period in Europe.
