Production Manager (Chinese speaking)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery timelines.
• Liaise with procurement, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Oversee daily production activities, making real-time adjustments to maintain productivity targets.
• Direct and manage the production team to achieve operational goals and maintain team morale.
• Deliver training programs, coaching, and continuous support to improve team performance.
• Conduct performance assessments and create development plans for employee growth.
• Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for cost reduction.
• Introduce lean manufacturing strategies and continuous improvement techniques to enhance output.
• Utilize performance data and KPIs to guide strategic decisions and process optimizations.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities align with internal quality requirements and industry standards.
• Supervise product quality checks to guarantee compliance with technical specifications.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions promptly.
• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations.
• Cultivate a safety-first mindset within the team through regular training and awareness programs.
• Manage raw materials and inventory levels to ensure continuous production without overstocking.
• Work closely with supply chain partners to optimize resource allocation and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• More 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the automotive or metal industries.
• Strong technical understanding of metal manufacturing processes, including stamping, welding, casting, and machining.
• Proficient in English & Chinese language.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing/ Six Sigma/ or equivalent process improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry safety standards and quality compliance requirements.
• Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality management systems.
