Responsibilities:
To ensure the achievement of targets for performances, costs, timing and quality during the development of product and process until early production and SOP.
To ensure Customer interface in terms of product requirements, timing and expectations\achievements and to convey them to the development/production/quality team.
To represent the company in communication with the customer.
To report to the company, the customer feedback and to monitor customer satisfaction and needs.
To assure deliveries of products (prototype, documentations, drawings)
To assure respect of milestones and performances (functionality, quality, and reliability) within customer milestones and expectations to the agreed standard.
To participate at RFQ process, defining solutions and resources for new projects.
To ensure the achievement of target cost defined during offer phase by managing necessary modifications and manufacturing processes.
Lead manufacturing activities whilst working cross functionally to achieve the program goals. (R&D, Purchasing, Quality, Logistic, Sales, Process Engineering, Finance, After-sales, Marketing).
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years experience in Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering and Program Management.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Automotive, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
Self Motivated with ability to work under a tight schedule.
Some domestic travels may be required as needed to support customer meetings.
Support and resolution of customer quality issues which may require rework, re-inspection, involvement of inspection company co-ordination at different customer sites.
Possesses specific knowledge, expertise, and is technically current in product development field. Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
Demonstrated ability to carry out projects, broad in nature, from beginning to end in coordination with internal and external contacts.
Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, coordinate projects, manage conflicting needs, and deal with many issues at one time.
Must be able to work independently under little or no supervision.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in English in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts and represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
Demonstrated ability to research and recommend new product/process program enhancements and participate in and initiate implementation of continuous improvement processes.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing programs to meet goals (i.e. successful program launch).
Demonstrated ability to work on long-term assignments, broad in nature, using a high level of originality and ingenuity.
Must be able to develop long-term technical strategies/plans to meet future business needs and growth opportunities.
Must be able to work independently with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage several large and complex projects simultaneously.
Must have experience with past project financial responsibilities.
Will require flexibility in work hours as the position will require regular off hour activities to communicate with and coordinate activities with the global Magna team, customers, and suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others through support, training etc
