Construction Manager
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate projects from start to completion includes organizing the schedule of work, costings, and budgeting
- Ensure the project is on schedule and budget: setting benchmarks & timeline, overseeing budget allocations, and monitoring construction progress
- Oversee the construction site basis, including monitoring contractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control
- Check design documents with architects, surveyors, and engineers
- Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with consultants and their representatives to monitoring them of progress on the project, e.g. stakeholder management.
- Collaborate with any consultants, contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and others involved in the project
- Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project
- Expense monthly report - compare the actual expenses to the forecasted
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction management required
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineer, project management, or related degree
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and management skills
- Ability to analyze data and present key findings both verbally and in written form
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, regulatory approvals etc.
- Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft office produce (Excel, PowerPoint, and word)
- Excellent knowledge in design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and written)
- Strong communication skills - for liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, professionals, and workers on site
