Safety Officer

Job Description

• Develop and implement the Annual Safety Plan and ensure compliance with company safety policies and legal regulations.

• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

• Collaborate with departments to uphold safety standards.

• Perform regular workplace inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.

• Prepare and submit inspection reports and risk assessments.

• Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for workplace safety.

• Implement Emergency Response Plans, including fire drills and evacuation training.

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.

• Design and conduct safety training programs for employees.

• Coordinate specialized training sessions with external agencies.

• Investigate workplace accidents and prepare detailed reports.

• Analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain accident records and report safety performance to management.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety laws and ISO 13485 standards.

• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities.

• Maintain and update safety manuals, equipment registers, and fire evacuation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in workplace safety.

• Strong knowledge of occupational safety laws and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in safety documentation and liaising with government agencies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing.

• Certified Professional Safety Officer.
